What led me to become a dentist
Since I was young, I subjects with clear answers suited me well. Math and physics, where principles are clear and results can be explained with reasons and logic, suited me well.
Interestingly, orthodontics is the area of healthcare where physical concepts are applied most deeply. The fact that it actually “moves” parts of the body to create change was a major draw for me.
Also Adolescence—full of dreams and pure energy—Because I’ve always loved that stage, caring for those kids’ teeth and growth through orthodontics was a natural choice for me.
Clinical Expertise
Within orthodontics, I focus on non-surgical camouflage treatment for Class 3 malocclusion—an area in which I have extensive experience and confidence.
When I untangle complex factors one by one and achieve satisfying results without surgery, I’m reminded of the essential appeal of orthodontics.
Treatment Style
If I were to sum up my treatment style in one sentence
Orthodontic treatment is a long journey—sometimes a few months, sometimes 2~3 years. That’s why I make it a rule to explain fully what we’re doing now and why each step is needed. When we share information and understand the direction together, the process becomes much more comfortable.
Treatment Philosophy
What I consider most important in orthodontic care is
There is a right time for every tooth movement. Finding the 'optimal treatment timing'—that is the crux of orthodontic care. This is exactly why I invest ample time in analysis and planning before treatment.
Advice for Patients
Oral hygiene during orthodontic treatment cannot be overemphasized. Plaque tends to build up around appliances, so proper brushing and hygiene significantly affect the quality of treatment.
A Memorable Case
A patient with a severe open bite who had been advised to undergo surgery at another cliniccomes to mind. After consultation, I determined that non-surgical treatment could sufficiently improve the case, so we began. After a long period of working together, we achieved a satisfying result.
Current Interests
Recently, Invisalign aligners, I have been focusing on how to treat a wide range of cases. With advances in technology, clear aligner therapy is rapidly expanding in scope, and patient satisfaction is high. I study continuously to stay current, so I can offer attentive care to an even wider range of patients.
On a Personal Note
My colleagues describe me as "calm and diligent"They say. Orthodontic care requires consistency and finesse, so I think these traits fit the work well.
In everyday life, time with my baby and our catis my greatest joy. The attentiveness and patience I’ve learned from parenting positively influence my clinical care as well.
