It’s manageable with pain relievers. Most patients improve after 2–3 days.

It varies by the extent and whether a Bone Graft (GBR) is needed. Some procedures can be covered by the Korean NHIS.

Starting the day of surgery, lukewarm soft foods (porridge, soup) are okay. Avoid hot or irritating/spicy foods for about 1 week. Eat carefully on the side opposite the surgical area.

Periodontal flap surgery (curettage) is covered by the Korean NHIS. Some procedures, such as Bone Graft (GBR), are non-covered (out-of-pocket). After an exam, we’ll let you know exactly what’s covered.
